Carpool line - there is my punkin!!













































MB was so much better this afternoon. I asked her what she did at school and she said' "well, first I pouted for a while......"
I told her that I needed a big smile since all I got were pout pictures this morning.
My sweet girl! Love her! I really missed her while she was at school!

First day of school uniforms

We have to get used to waking up early again.
She was so tired and did not want to get out of bed.





































I got one smile out of her when she got to climb to the front seat with me waiting for carpool line.

so this is when it started. She is not getting out of the car. The lady is like - Oh great - A grumpy child about to put up a fight in carpool line and a mom having a photo shoot of the whole thing. This picture cracks me up.

She said wanted to stay with mommy all day. We made a deal that if mommy walked her in instead of getting out in carpool line that she would walk in her class like a big girl.









































We don't know who this little boy was -
but he seemed very concerned and hung around for a while.












































It still took a little while once we got inside but she finally walked in her room with Ms. Jennifer.





















I hope that she is doing OK. I'm sure she has forgotten all about it by now.
The phone rang and I was sure it was Pinelake calling for me to come get her or something.
I'm home posting these so daddy can see her in her uniform.

Friends and Fish

We went to Poplarville, MS. this weekend to see Sarah (Spaulding) and Charles Abbott. Sarah and I worked together at Mississippi Magazine for years and became really good friends. I haven't gotten to see her in so long. She and Charles live in New Orleans. We had sooo much fun! I love the Abbott's hunting lodge that they have - it is gorgeous and sooo relaxing! Thank you soooo much to Sarah and Charles for inviting us. We had an absolute blast!

Mary Bratton has been so excited about fishing. She said she was going to 'teach' Sarah and Charles how to fish. Her Barbie fishing pole has a plastic fish on the end of it so she catches something everytime! SO.... Tal takes that little plastic fish and puts on a lure ( I didn't even know that he did this) All of the sudden Mary Bratton is screaming!! Her little fishing pole is bending over - she throws it down and runs away so fast. She is terrified that she caught a real fish. I pick up the pole and the pole won't even reel in the fish. Tal finally gets it in and it was the biggest fish that I saw all day. It was the funniest thing I've ever seen! After that she said that she was going inside to take a break.

In total disbelief of what just happened. It was completely hysterical!

We brought Mary Bratton's Barbie Jeep so she could drive around.

Before we left home she said that she wanted a fishing dress - so I found this old torn dress and made this for her and she could not wait to put it on and go fishing! I mean... everyone needs a fishing dress.





















She still loves holding her brother when he can stay still enough to let her!

Tal caught the most fish of the day - by far. We think he is the fish whisperer. Most everyone caught 5 or 6 and Tal caught 30 something.

Sarah's birthday is August 20th so we put some candles in our cookie dough and sang her happy birthday! She let Mary Bratton help her blow out her candles.

Mary Brattton's first day of school

Today was Mary Bratton's first day of school. Uniforms start Monday!

but I am in the hallway about to cry trying to see how she does in her new class!

I'm out in the hallway cracking up laughing b/c Bryant is just about pulling down Stacy's shorts hanging on to her. This lasted the whole way around the classroom. She had to bribe him with Chick Fil A.

Mary Bratton's back to school party

Mary Bratton had her back to school party last night to meet her new friends and teacher.

Lawson was on MB's soccer team and we see him a church all of the time. He is a sweet boy!
