Kate's bday party
Happy Birthday Kate!
We went to Kate's pop star birthday party tonight in her 'disco den'
it was the cutest party. Joanne did such a great job. All of the girls were getting their hair done and putting on make-up.
it was perfect for any 5 year old little girl! Just precious! 
Mary Bratton ( in her 'disco outfit'- she has been planning to wear this outfit as soon as she heard about Kates party)
For some reason ... Mary Bratton is very into disco. She will be coloring a picture and draw a disco ball. Or she will tell me that i need to change clothes because i need to wear something more 'disco'ish' .... i dunno....... she must have seen it on one of her videos........
but Mary Bratton wants to bring disco back!

she loved her party favor - "disco scarf" so much that she wanted to sleep with it.
but now i'm hoping that this was a party favor........ they had cute little bags + sunglasses...I'm not sure if we were suppose to even take this home! Jo - let me know...
We got there and there were about 15 little 5 year olds and ZERO daddys!
he said - if Hank isn't here.... I'm leaving! so funny! here he is... hanging in there before he sees any of the other men!
it just made me laugh! what a sweet man!!!

Mary Bratton has been talking about this party all week but when it came down to dancing... she got shy.
but before we left....... she got UN-SHY!!!!
do we think Beau is obsessive? He loves to take my old curlers /rollers?.... what do you call them these days??
anyway - like to take them out from under the cabinet in my bathroom and play with them like a puzzle and stack them back on the little pegs.
Today he stacked them up next to each other in a line.... hmmm.........

there she goes......
my baby girl started kindergarten today. I will have to admit that it was tougher than i thought it was going to be.
She was so ready and so was I but the giving her back was a little hard! 
pulling up... and we see Stacy ... she just dropped Bryant off - and i know Stacy and she was probably crying too! :)
unbuckling and about to crawl to the front seat!
she is excited!!!
Ok - so this year we pull up and the carpool lady mouths "she can get out"
WHAT????
for the past 2 years they came and opened the door for them and helped them out.
Today she opened the door and had to get out all by herself. Not like she can't and not like she doesn't do this at home anyway...
but that sort of hit me. They will expect alot more out of them from now on!
i went to get her up about 7:00 a.m. and she was already up getting dressed. I had tears in my eyes a couple of times this morning and Mary Bratton finally says........'Moooommmm.... we prayed about this.' Why is it so hard to let them go? I mean... it's only a half day.. I'm picking her up at noon.

Our backpack that we ordered should be here today. for her first day we used this cute little backpack that Bekah gave her for her birthday 2 years ago! for K3 and K4 they used Pinelake bags that they handed out (everyone had the same ones) - this year is the first year for backpacks and Mary Bratton thinks that is so cool!
