tough week... getting better!

This picture means sooooooo much to me........ I'll tell you why!

So... It wasn't exactly the best week! We have been dealing with some senory integration problems with Beau. Our pediatrician wants Beau to go ahead and see some professionals at UMC. He has the most precious spirit, but alot of things with Beau seem very intense! Most of the issues with Beau are with tactile input. When he gives hugs - he turns around to the back or leans over ( no arms involved). When he gives kisses ( please see above photo) - he uses the top of his head instead of his lips. There are other issues besides tactile issues that are hard for him - but i won't get into that. I have been reading alot about it and basically he processes TOUCH differently than we do. It is in fact more intense for him. We will be getting him therapy to help him with these issues.

I want to ask you all to pray for Beau that he will respond to these treatments so that his little body will feel the same things that we all feel.

I love this picture because sweet Mary Grace looks like she knows exactly what to do with hugs and kisses from her good friend Beau Beau!

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

i have an incredible friend who is an o.t., too. well - another one besides jeff foster. her name is kecia ray. she is so awesome and i've heard my cousin roseann (who is another o.t.) say that she is the one that she would take her own child to if she had to see anybody.

I love the update, Renee, so we can all be thinking about and praying for Beau this week. You must be amazing parents to notice these things so early and be able to get a head start on some treatment!! He's a lucky little boy! And I'll be thinking of you guys - and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pictures of him with Mary Grace...in the trunk of a car! Priceless. Lisa

Ok, I know we have never met, but between the cute "henry" clothes you made for my nephew and our mutual friends, I feel like I know you.
I am praying for you and your sweet family. Beau is such a cutie-pie. I know the Lord will take care of him! He always does!

PS - that first picture made me tear up. So precious.
