Mary Katherine had a great idea for us to all give Sha a box filled with quotes, bible verses and just little notes for her to read when she needs to smile. She loved it - she was very surprised!

















We were all suprised ( but I'm not too suprised) to find that MK put a dryer sheet in the cute box to make it smell better. Love you MK. it gave us all a good laugh - in addition to all of the rest of the laughs we had all night.

Getting competitive at family day!

Mom is working at Law's Construction and they had family day on Saturday at Luckett Lodge. They had all of these different games with all of these GREAT prizes - so I just took the liberty of signing EVERYONE up for EVERYTHING !

3 legged race. We took a little fall when we got to the end. Did I mention that there were really good prizes. REally good! I would not have done this if they weren't good! It really was a lot of fun!









Yep - even the sack race. I tried it and I'm not a fast hopper. Not at all! I lost this one big time. YOu can see Mary Bratton and my nephew Nasson to the right of me.. Ta Ta is giving them the go ahead!

Happy Birthday Isabel & D'Ella

Isabel and D'Ella David had their 4th Birthday party at Chick-Fil-A on Tuesday. The Davids were only in town for a short time. Noah and the girls are doing fabulous - and mommy and daddy too!

We got to the parade right when it was starting and we could not find a single spot where we could see the parade up close. We all took turns putting Mary Bratton on our shoulders. This is our friend Cheryl Kidd - so sweet to help Mary Bratton see the parade!! Her husband Doug also took a turn! And he is very tall so Mary Bratton had a great view on those shoulders!























We are re-doing our deck in the backyard. We have been wanting to work on it for a while now. It looks so much better. Tal worked on it after the parade while I took Mary Bratton to Bryce's bday party!

Beau - 11 months

Where has this year gone? Beau will be 11 months in 2 days. I have to start planning his first birthday! Tal told me to keep it simple. Ummmm... has he met me? :) But - I will try!

I keep I was looking back at pictures and came across a few that I wanted to share.

He had jaundice when he was born and had brown hair. So we thought he had my skin and my hair. But now 11 months later - he has less hair than he had when he was born - and he is extremely fair.
Mary Bratton has loved him since the minute he was born! She is the sweetest big sister!!

Zoo with friends

We went to the zoo today with a group of friends. We had a really good time.
It was Beau's first zoo trip!






























Me and Beau looking at the giraffes! It took me 5 minutes of pointing for him to even notice it! Pretty sure that I was more excited about the giraffes than Beau was!

They have some really nice new exhibits at the Jackson Zoo. Mary Bratton was scared to go in this little tunnel and see the beavers and Bryant said that he would take her and protect her. So he held her hand and led her through the little tunnel. Isn't that the sweetest thing!

Beau at the zoo! I'm pretty sure that he saw the giraffe - it took a few minutes of pointing and trying to get him to see it. He stared at it.. so I know he saw it.. no reaction though. then I just gave up. We will have to take Beau back at the end of summer.






















This is a picture on our lunch break.
The kids decided to all sit on the same side of the picnic table. Sara Foster Dryden was even sitting on the end before her mommy moved her to the other side. Probably what we should have done too! :)
